Wordpress 2.6 Available

Most blogs, this one included, are run on the Wordpres platform which I am sure many of you already know. A new version of Wordpress, entitled 2.6, was released and is available for download at www.wordpress.org ! This is great news since the new version of Wordpress has some excellent features that make life much easier on us bloggers. One great feature, the save point, is built to automatically save a post each time you edit it. This allows you to restore back to earlier points with ease if you do not like new modifications. My favorite new feature is the theme preview, which is great for bloggers just starting out or someone who wants a new look on their site. This option allows you to preview themes before you actually set them as your default which is easier than changing themes until you find one that you like.
Too Much Technology?
These new updates are great for ease in the blogging world but does it ever seem like your life is bogged down in updates? Between website updates, windows automatic updates (which you still need to take time to install) virus updates and any other software that is constantly evolving I sometimes feel like my life is spent updating programs to the latest and greatest. Technology is a great thing but sometimes it can drive you crazy and seems impossible to keep up with. In any case it is great that our society is continuously bettering itself, even if we are sometimes in information overload.
